Students protest the removal of dozens of trees for construction of new student housing on the campus of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018. There are 58 trees within the construction footprint, nine will remain, one is diseased and needs to be removed and 12 will be relocated. The University will remove a total of 36 trees and will plant 75 both on location and in other areas of campus as replacements.
