Officials said on Saturday that the shooting at a synagogue in the US city of Pittsburgh was being investigated as a federal hate crime. A visibly moved Wendell Hissrich, Pittsburgh's public safety director, told reporters that six people were injured, including four police officers. None of the wounds to police officers were life-threatening, but the other two injured people had suffered serious injuries. COPS are hunting a gunman after an eight-year-old girl was among five people gunned down a "family gathering" in upstate New York last night.
